Can you tell us a little about your clinic, your client base and what you want to be known for?
Perri Jayde’s Beauty is located in the heart of Rockhampton inside an old cottage, giving a beautiful, homely feel — this is a comment made by many clients over the past year. We are a team of 4. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming space where clients feel comfortable, cared for and confident. Our client base ranges from teens through to mature women, up to the age of 90, with many seeking personalised skincare, beauty and makeup advice. We want to be known for delivering results while maintaining a relaxed, down-to-earth experience and helping clients feel like the best version of themselves.
What has been working well in your business over the past 6–12 months?
Building genuine relationships with our clients has continued to be one of our biggest strengths. We’ve focused on personalised recommendations, consistent client education and creating an experience that keeps clients coming back. Word-of-mouth referrals have remained strong, and we’ve also seen great engagement through social media by sharing content regularly.
What role has Jane Iredale® played in that success?
Jane Iredale® has become an integral part of our business because it bridges the gap between skincare and makeup. Clients love that the products not only look beautiful but also support skin health. The brand aligns perfectly with our philosophy of enhancing natural beauty, and the trust clients have for us as therapists makes recommending them easier. Also, us therapists wearing the makeup every day allows clients to see how they look and wear over time.

Is there a product, range, routine or category that has become especially important for your team or clients? For example complexion, colour matching, the Skincare Makeup System, After Glow, lip, or finishing after services.
Colour matching clients into the right foundation is a wonderful opportunity to educate them on the benefits of skincare makeup. We also provide one-on-one makeup classes for clients to learn how to apply foundation, eye shadow, blush and lipstick, and also point them in the right direction to what foundation would suit their skin best. We also love finishing treatments with the HydroPure Tinted Serum and PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation, allowing clients to leave feeling confident while experiencing firsthand how the products perform on their skin.
How do you introduce Jane Iredale® during a consultation without making the client feel overwhelmed?
We keep it simple and personalised. Rather than discussing the entire range, we focus on one or two products that solve a specific concern, complement their skin type and their lifestyle. By introducing products naturally throughout treatments and consultations, clients can experience them without feeling overwhelmed. During our makeup classes we also ask the client what they’d like to focus on and start there.

What does your team do to build confidence with makeup recommendations, retail conversations or follow-up?
We focus on education rather than sales. We explain why a product would benefit the client and demonstrate how to use it. Clients also love hearing what products we like and why. A lot of my clients will say, “What are you wearing on your eyes?” Then I would show them and most times this is when a client would possibly buy something as well because it’s personal.
We check in with clients at future appointments to see how they’re enjoying their products and answer any questions they may have.

Is there a simple system, display idea, tester habit, event idea, treatment planner or client follow-up habit that has helped you get better results?
One of our most successful habits is applying Jane Iredale® products after treatments wherever appropriate. Clients get to see and feel the products in action without pressure. We also keep testers easily accessible and encourage clients to have a look and feel the products during their visit. We also do an event once or twice a year where 20–30 clients can come and experience an exclusive event for Jane Iredale®, where we have makeup education and a hands-on makeup workshop.
What would you suggest another stockist try if they wanted to grow Jane Iredale® in a practical, brand-aligned way?
Focus on education and experience rather than trying to hard sell. Colour matching is one of the most powerful tools for introducing clients to the brand. Applying products after treatments, demonstrating them during consultations and sharing genuine personal and team favourites help the client build trust and confidence in us as therapists and the products.
Is there anything else you would love to share with the Margifox Distributors stockist community?
Just a side note — we LOVE the Eye Shadow Sticks and Peaches & Cream Shimmer Bronzer is always a fan favourite. Has been for years and hasn’t stopped.
